WHAT TO EXPECT LIFE LEARNING PLAN™ FAMILY WORKSHOPS SUPPORT & THERAPY

We understood the importance of our family relationship and the intrapersonal relationships, but did not have the support in her transition to home or any planning for that transition.... We found that the Life Learning Plan process and experiential therapy could offer the crucial piece that we were missing... Without Northlight Family Service's help we don't feel that there would have been completion of the goals that we had hoped to achieve in bringing our daughter home. We felt a huge burden was lifted once they began helping our family.

Old patterns die hard and new learning is hard to enact when environments change. This makes transition from a residential program challenging.

Our Life Learning Plan™, experiential workshops, ongoing coaching and therapy help parents and other family members make individual change while also participating in a student's residential process. The process leads to a thorough plan for transition at the end of a residential program.

Northlight Family Services helps families maximize the success of a teen or young adult child's residential experience by helping transfer new growth and learning from the program into the family system, home environment, new school environment, and/or next stages of life. NFS uses evidence-based practices and current research to help families make long lasting changes in emotionally charged patterns" and provides a clear structure of support around a family.

Each family's program is customized based on the their unique needs and circumstances. Services can be combined as a "whole package" or used "a la carte".
